Enhance “State” Selection in Property Contact Information

I’d like to suggest a feature enhancement for the “State” dropdown menu under the “Contact Information” section on the property detail page.

Currently, the dropdown menu begins with Alabama and ends with military addresses, and selecting a state is mandatory to update the record. The chosen state appears in generated letters in front of the ZIP Code (e.g., selecting Florida adds “FL” before the ZIP Code).

The Challenge:
When dealing with property owners outside the US—such as a foundation in Sweden that inherited a Florida property—there is no appropriate option in the dropdown menu. This forces users to select a US state even when it is not applicable, leading to incorrect information in generated letters.

Proposed Solutions:

Add an “Other” Option: Include an “Other” option in the dropdown menu that leaves the space in front of the ZIP Code blank in generated letters.
Allow the “Select One” Field: Accept the default “Select One” field and permit users to update the record without selecting a specific state.
Implementing either of these options would greatly improve usability for customers managing records for non-US property owners and ensure accuracy in correspondence.
